While one shoots, the other one will write down the score upon a score card. As far as the actual target goes, the point system is as follows.
Any arrow that bounces off of the target is an automatic zero. Gold equals ten points; red equals eight; blue equals six; black equals four; and white equals two. Ties are usually broken by counting up the total number of hits that each competitor has acquired. No matter where you go, these are the basic archery rules that are followed. Remember not to cross in front of an archer while they are shooting, and always respect silence during another’s turn. Essentially, this sport includes a lot of courtesy – try to think of this sport along the same lines as golf.
