ASA Archery

Within the world of ASA archery, anyone that wishes to compete professionally must be recognized by this organization. The Archery Shooters Association is set in place in order to promote 3D shooting.

Prior to the formation of the Archery Shooter Association, there was no formal organization for archers. Once this organization opened up its doors, those that were serious about this sport began to compete against one another for a place in the shooting spotlight. On the organization’s website, you will find the latest scores, Pro Am Tour information, TopGun listings, and lots of tournament registration. In short, if you want to compete when it comes to shooting, you must check out ASA archery.

While there are plenty of archers in the world that are not a part of this organization, those that are tend to have a certain importance. As with any other sport, it helps to gain a lot of recognition if you are ranked worldwide. If you take this sport seriously, you will find that a membership to the Archery Shooters Organization is really important. In fact, you cannot sign up for many tournaments within this sport unless you are a part of this club. To sign up, simply head to their website, pay your dues (single of family membership), and enjoy becoming a part of a sport that has been around for centuries.

Today, the ASA archery club is extremely important, though it was not always this way. During the medieval ages, archers were often regarded as important members of any court. Not needing an organization to belong to, medieval archers were part of a brotherhood. Since everyone knew who the archers in the towns were, no type of organization was necessary. However, when the hand gun was invented archers began to disappear. Those that remained in love with their bow and arrow were often alone in the shooting world until the Archery Shooters Association was formed.

Once again, brothers that take up the bow and arrow can become one as they compete for prestigious prizes. While today’s archers may not be asked to battle against legions of men on foot, they are still an integral part of our society. In many ways, archers carry on a tradition that is a part of our history.

As you can see, ASA archery is important due to the many things that it represents. If you enjoy this sport, sign up for your own membership today. After all, history would have been a whole lot different if it weren’t for the swift arrows of many skilled archers.
